We are seeking a qualified Corrections Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the NIC Curriculum Modernization, E-Learning Development, & Instructor-Led Training Revision Support project.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do
The Corrections Subject Matter Expert (SME) will bring deep familiarity with correctional facility operations, safety and security operations, and the development of adult learning materials. In this role, you will apply real-world corrections expertise to guide occupational subject matter content development, review courseware for operational accuracy, and ensure quality control across all instructional deliverables.
What You Bring to the Table - Requirements
Education: Associate’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Criminal Justice, Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, or Emergency Management).
Professional Certification: State- or agency-certified corrections academy training.
Specialized Experience: 7+ years of experience in core-listed subjects, including:
Recent in-field corrections experience
The development of occupational subject matter content
Quality control of deliverables
