Air Combat Training Systems Support
This position is onsite in Hampton Virginia.
This position requires an active Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical, logistical, and programmatic support to ACC for current and future aircraft instrumentation systems (P5 Combat Training System, P6 Combat Training System, etc.).
Provide operational and programmatic support to ACC for other ACTS equipment/software (ground integration systems, communication/datalink systems, threat systems, and debrief systems).
Analyze mission requirements to present multi-year recommendations for future plans, policies, and procedures for ACTS procurement, sustainment, and modernization.
Coordinate with ACTS users and stakeholders across services to gather inputs and distribute information on ACTS plans and activities.
Gather data and develop inputs for activating, augmenting, relocating, employing, using, or deactivating ACTS operational equipment and sites.
Access various online systems for technical orders, modifications, equipment status reporting, and similar life-cycle sustainment activities to monitor, assess, and evaluate ACTS activities across the CAF.
Assist with planning, hosting, and conducting key ACTS meetings (ACTS Working Group, PMRs, Requirements Review Boards, etc.).
- Assist in the development, tracking, analysis, and response of reports and packages.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Logistics, Engineering or Program Management OR Associate's degree in the disciplines above plus 4 years related work experience.
- In lieu of a degree, 6 years of related work experience.
- Minimum 4 years experience Logistics or Program Management experience in managing/sustaining USAF electronic systems that are part of an official USAF acquisition program.
- Minimum 2 years experience working sustainment budgeting under the CAM WSS program OR minimum 4 years experience planning and budgeting for lifecycle management of USAF programs.
- Minimum 2 years experience interpreting policy and guidance issued by higher authorities (HQ USAF and DOD).
The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time status. Part-time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represent the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of Team Carney's total compensation package for employees.
