Training Assistant - Homeland Security
This Training Assistant position supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the area of Support Services. The mission-critical program provides comprehensive training, safety, standards, curriculum development, and technical modernization services to ensure national border security agents can operate safely and effectively.
An elite flight crew can't train if they don't know where to go or if their records are out of date. As a Training Assistant, you manage the crucial scheduling, logistics, and data entry that keeps AMO’s national training pipelines running smoothly.

Who You Are
You are the calm, highly organized center of a busy operational training center. Possessing exceptional logistics skills and a natural ability to connect with people, you take pride in coordinating every moving piece of training events. From student travel and venue reservations to meticulous record-keeping, you ensure that our nation's law enforcement agents have a seamless training experience.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Schedule & Coordinate: Facilitate the registration, scheduling, and logistics of AMO personnel for required training.
Liaise with Partners: Act as a central point of contact between students, instructors, schoolhouses, military partners, and external training vendors.
Manage Logistics: Assist with student travel reviews, registration confirmations, training space reservations, and travel orders.
Secure Records: Meticulously update, verify, and archive electronic student training records and histories within official systems.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Technical: Highly proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
Skills: Excellent written/verbal communication and data entry accuracy.
Attributes: Strong customer service mindset, multitasking ability, and attention to detail.
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background suitability check.
