Flight Safety Support
This position is onsite in Hampton Virginia.
This position requires an active Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities:
Oversee implementation of the mishap prevention programs for ACC and subordinate units IAW the most current DAFI 91-202, The US Air Force Mishap Prevention Program, and other applicable DoD/AF Safety regulations, as well as supplemental guidance.
Support investigating and reporting of safety events IAW the most current DAFI 91-204, Safety Investigations and Reports, DAFMAN 91-223, Aviation Safety Investigations and Reports, and other applicable DoD/AF Safety regulations, as well as supplemental guidance.
Develop and implement activities and strategies to employ proactive aviation safety programs in their unique operational and training environments IAW the most current DAFI 91-225, Aviation Safety Programs, and other applicable DoD/AF Safety regulations, as well as supplemental guidance.
- Provide technical and administrative support to the Safety FAM IAW the most current DAFI 91-202, DAFI 10-401, and other applicable DoD/AF Safety regulations, as well as supplemental guidance.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Minimum 4 years performance as a pilot, CSO, ABM or remote pilot
- Minimum 2 years experience wing level or higher staff experience.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a flight safety officer.
- Successful completion of a flight safety officer course (ASPM, AMIC, ARCCOS, AMIC): previous completion of the Flight Safety Officer Course, Navy Aviation Safety Officer and Aviation Safety Manager Course or Army Mishap Investigation Course.
The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time status. Part-time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represent the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of Team Carney's total compensation package for employees.
